Volunteer Opportunities

Helping the Homeless 

A new homeless shelter ministry of the Richland County Ministerial Association is in need of volunteers.

Intake – People in this role will commit to two hours an evening, Monday through Friday, to check folks into the shelter.

Security – Persons to spend the night in the shelter and assist security personnel in maintaining safety for the residents.

Food Supply Coordinators – Persons will be responsible for making sure the food supplies at the shelter site are appropriate and sufficient for the number of residents.

Movers/Logistics – Once a week, persons are needed to help tear down and move shelter materials.  

Special Emergency Volunteers – Folks who can be on call to help on days when residents cannot leave the shelter due to weather emergency.
